Lana Nathe, Founder & Principal Designer

Lana is an innovative designer who proficiently crafts robust lighting solutions for residential and commercial projects.  With over 35 years of experience, her concepts set the mood, highlight architectural structures and works of art, and shed light on natural landscape features. Her completed work for over 1200+ private residences nationally has captured the attention of clients, city officials, and editors alike.

Lana began her design career under the tutelage of Hans von Malotki at Buro Licht Design in Koln, Germany.  She later followed her passion in lighting to New York at Fisher Marantz Stone Lighting Design. In 2005, Lana launched Light Insight Design Studio.  In 2007, she founded “illuminaleBOSTON08”, Boston’s first evening lighting festival, which coincided with the completion of Boston’s Inauguration of the Rose Kennedy Greenway project. 

Her portfolio includes custom residences, gardens & landscapes, galleries and museums,hospitality, restaurants, retail, corporate offices, houses of worship, urban place-making, and facade lighting.

Meg Bertini

Meg is a Boston-based designer who earned her Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design at the University of New Haven.  She has held various positions in the design industry, including Space Planner for Creative Office Pavilion, Interior Designer at Miller Dyer Spears, and Sales Representative for Lumenpulse.

Her interest and experience in lighting grew while she was working with Reflex Lighting in Boston, where she assisted clients, designers, and architects in selecting lighting fixtures that fit the specific parameters for their needs. 

Meg is also a Registered Yoga Teacher and is pursuing her Master of Education degree in Elementary Education at Merrimack College in North Andover, MA. 

Sierra Porter

Sierra is a Bachelor of Science in Architecture candidate at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where she is developing a strong foundation in design, representation, and architectural thinking. With a 3.9 GPA and experience using tools such as Rhino, Illustrator, and Photoshop, Sierra brings both creativity and technical skills to the design process.

Through involvement in the American Institute of Architecture Students and Women in Architecture, Sierra actively engages in collaborative design exploration, professional development, and advocacy for equity. Past experiences, including volunteering and service-oriented roles, have strengthened her communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities, all of which inform a thoughtful and human-centric approach to design.
